Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a range of services to help people maintain recovery from addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Values

  • Our values are based in Honesty, Open-mindedness and Willingness, derived from the spiritual principles of the Twelve Steps used in our original project.
  • We believe that abstinence is the most efficacious lifestyle for addicts but recognise that not all will choose this approach.  The philosophies of Recovery and Harm Minimisation underpin all our activities.
  • The residential project known as Bosence Farm Community including its move on houses and aftercare service will retain the Twelve Steps as its core and focus.
  • The assessment, detoxification and stabilisation service of Boswyns will have no particular ideology and will be accessible to everyone no matter what model they wish to pursue in follow on treatment.
  • We will treat all service users as individuals and empower them to take responsibility for their own recovery.
  • We will help service users enhance their life skills so they can minimize harm to themselves and others, live free from addiction and develop their full potential and independence.
  • We will provide safe and secure environments free from all aspects of abuse.
  • We will value our paid staff and volunteers as our most important assets.
  • We will actively engage service users in the planning, design and delivery of services.
  • In all our activities we will operate a policy of Equal Opportunity free from Discrimination and Harassment.
